Bonham - Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Sue Speed, age 71 of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Northside Church of Christ in Bonham. Officiating will be Mr. Carl Dye and interment will follow in Mulberry Cemetery.
Mrs. Speed passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. She was born on June 27, 1936 in Waggoner, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Dave and Ruby Cook Walker. Mrs. Speed was married to Harvey Speed on November 18, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on September 11, 1995. Mrs. Speed retired from the Sam Rayburn V.A. after 25 years as a Dietitian Supervisor and she was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
She is survived by her Sons - Jimmy Speed of Plano and James Speed of Louisiana. Daughters - Carol Renfro, Sandra Speed and Dosha Speed all of Bonham and Patricia Speed of Gary, Tennessee. 21-Grandchildren and 2-Great Grandchildren. Brothers - Jerry Walker and Gerald Walker both of Porter, Oklahoma. Sisters - Ethyl Gibson of Arkansas; Carol Hansen of Indiania and Lavern Maurer.
In addition to her Parents and Husband she was also preceded in death by her Daughter - Jackie Speed Puebla in 1993 and Sisters - Lou Kelso, Jean Ricardelli and Pat Walker.
Pallbearers will be Cody Renfro, Alberto Speed, Airron Gaspar, David Speed, James Speed and William Robertson.
The family will received friends from 7-8PM Monday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
