The election filing period for three Bonham school board seats will begin Saturday, February 9, (The first day for filing falls on a Saturday, but since the first day to apply is not a deadline, the first day to apply does not move to the next business day and the office is not required to be open on Saturday.)  and ends Monday, March 10, at 5:00 p.m. 

Anyone interested in running for Places 1, 6, 7, must file by 5:00 pm, March 10.  The election is May 10, with early voting from April 28 to May 6, 2008, at the Fannin County Courthouse. 

Dr. Randy McBroom represents Place 1 (1 year term to fill unexpired term of Nolan Ashmore) .  

Doyce Taylor represents Place 6. (3 year term)

Charlotte Kearney represents Place 7. (3 year term)  
 
To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 and have lived in Texas at least a year by May 10.  They also must have resided within the Bonham Independent School District for at least six months by election day and be registered voters.
