Bonham, Texas -- The Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Leadership Fannin Class of 2027! Following the recent graduation of the Class of 2026, the Chamber is preparing to welcome a new group of emerging and established leaders who are ready to learn, connect, and make a difference in Fannin County.

Leadership Fannin is an interactive, community-focused program designed to develop servant leaders through education, personal growth, and meaningful connections. With a mission to "Foster the Future of Fannin County," the program provides participants with a behind-the-scenes look at the people, organizations, and industries that help our communities thrive.

The 2027 program will run from February through October, with participants meeting once a month for full-day sessions. The experience begins with a casual Meet & Greet at Neighbors Place Winery, followed by a full-day orientation and personal development retreat led by Drew Myers of Open Mouth Communications, speaker, author, coach, and voice of the Bonham Now Podcast. Through engaging discussions and interactive team-building activities, participants will explore their individual strengths, leadership styles, and communication skills while building meaningful relationships with their fellow classmates. Drew's emphasis on personal growth, storytelling, and leading with purpose helps set the tone for the Leadership Fannin experience.

Throughout the program, participants will explore Tourism & History, Economic & Workforce Development, City, County & State Government, Social Services, Education, and Healthcare. Sessions include tours of local facilities, conversations with community leaders, and interactive experiences that encourage participants to better understand the opportunities and challenges facing Fannin County.

The program also includes a special leadership development session with author Julie Jones, focusing on confidence, personal image, and leadership presence through her book, The Presence Effect. Participants will put servant leadership into action through a community service project supporting Autumn in Bonham before celebrating their accomplishments at a graduation luncheon.

Beyond gaining valuable knowledge, participants build lasting professional and personal relationships while discovering new ways to become involved in their communities. Employers are encouraged to consider sponsoring a candidate as an investment in professional development and the future leadership of Fannin County.

Tuition for Leadership Fannin 2027 is $700 for current Chamber members or $850 for nonmembers, which includes a one-year Connect Partner membership with the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce. Tuition covers program sessions, materials, tours, and meals and may be paid by the participant, their employer, or a sponsoring organization.

Applications are now open, with a submission deadline of January 29, 2027. Individuals who are motivated to serve, eager to learn, and interested in making meaningful connections throughout Fannin County are encouraged to apply.
