Bonham, Texas -- The staff at the Sam Rayburn House Historic Site invites visitors to join us on October 24 for Archaeology: Digging the Past.

Are you wanting to learn more about Archaeology and the tools that are used? Are you curious about what kind of archaeology has been done at the Sam Rayburn house?

Come see the tools that archeologists use and find out why archaeology is important and what can be learned from it. Site educator Logan Baird will explain the purpose behind the Rayburn archeology project in the 1970s with the map of the project itself and the conclusion of the project. He will then display pictures of various artifacts that were found for visitors to guess what each object is. Intended for all ages. Free. This is a come and go event.
