The Kidz Krew children’s theatre program is currently performing six shows of Robin Hood as written by Lisa Avila and revised and edited by Kelly Bazan. Performances will be at 7 pm on July 31, Aug 1, 7, 8 and at 3 pm on Aug 2 & 9. Tickets are $10 each and are available on the art center’s website. Seating is limited, so it is highly recommended to purchases tickets ahead of time. Tickets will only be available at the door if the show is not sold out.
The center also offers many classes for adults. The next Brush & Brunch with JayeBella is set for Aug 4 from 11 am to 3 pm. Watercolors with Chris Cravens will be on Thursday, Aug 20 from 1-3 pm. JayeBella will lead a paint party for adults on Sunday, Aug 30 from 2-5 pm. Kim Keys will lead a class using color pencils on Aug 7 from 1-3 pm and using watercolors and ink on Aug 25 from 1-3 pm. Sandy Barber will teach a class in making market baskets on Aug 8 from 10 am to 2 pm and a two part hand stitching class on Aug 14 & 21 from 1-4 pm.
On Thursday, Aug 20, Sip & Stitch will be held from 6-8 pm and Poetry at the Art Center will be from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Mixed Media and Music will be on Wednesday, Aug 12 from 2-4 pm. Junk Journal Club will meet on Aug 19 from 2-4 pm. The next Artist Get Together is set for Aug 28 from 1-3 pm.
A book club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 2 pm, with the next meeting being on Aug 13. The next Mahjong at the art center will be Aug 5 from 6-8 pm and beginners are welcome.
The center hosts weekly yoga classes on Tuesdays at 6 pm and chair yoga on Wednesdays at 1 pm.
The center hosts a Farmers Market every other Saturday from April through October. Upcoming market days include August 8 & 22. The market runs from 9 am to 1 pm and is usually includes vendors inside and outside the center. In case of inclement weather, the market often moves completely inside.
