McKinney, Texas (July 24, 2026) – The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) has awarded $125,470 in Promotional and Community Event Grants to support a wide range of community events that promote tourism, local business growth, cultural vibrancy, and civic engagement across McKinney.

"Successful community events begin with strong community participation, and effective marketing plays an important role in making that happen," said MCDC Board Chair George Fuller. "These grants give organizations additional resources to promote their events more effectively, bringing more people together to experience everything McKinney has to offer.”

Listed below are the Promotional and Community Grants awarded by MCDC:
- Heritage Guild of Collin County – Events at Chestnut Square including weekly Farmers Markets, Educational Programs, Ghostly Hauntings, Holiday Tour of Homes, Holiday at the Square Events, and Trolley Tours ($11,500)
- McKinney Public Library Foundation – Activities and events associated with the grand reopening of the Roy and Helen Hall Library and Planetarium ($5,500)
- Texas Women’s Society -- 2026 McKinney Asian Art and Food Festival ($11,500)
- Art Club of McKinney -- Production of a documentary film which showcases McKinney as an arts destination and for the promotion of the 2026-2027 art shows and events ($6,000)
- MillHouse Foundation -- 2026-2027 Atrium Gallery Exhibits ($7,500)
- McKinney Community Concerts Association -- 2026-2027 performances of six unique shows ($6,500)
- McKinney Chamber Foundation -- 2026 Dia de los Muertos at TUPPS Brewery ($10,000)
- McKinney Rotary Foundation -- 2026 McKinney Parade of Lights ($9,220)
- Run for Hope -- 2026 Run for Hope event at Bonnie Wenk Park ($5,000)
- McKinney Repertory Theatre -- 2026-2027 season performances ($10,000)
- McKinney Main Street -- 2026 McKinney Oktoberfest ($15,000)
- Millennial Maven Creative Foundation -- 2026 Rooted in Rhythm and pre-events at District 121 ($7,000)
- Sostenuto Choral Community -- 2026 Christmas Concert ($2,250)
- The Warrior’s Keep -- 2026 North Texas Veterans Celebration at TUPPS ($5,000)
- Collin County Master Gardeners -- 2026-2027 events including The Garden Show and other events at Myers Park ($10,000)
- Lone Star Winery -- 2026 12 Wines of Christmas Walk in Downtown McKinney ($3,500)
