Fannin County, Texas -- The historic Fannin County Courthouse will be one of a dozen locations with quilts displayed this Friday and Saturday, July 24 and July 25, 2026 during the annual Bonham Quilt Hop & Fiber Arts Show.

Visitors are invited to tour quilts on display in the courtroom and balcony of the 1888 courthouse during regular business hours Friday and from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

Fannin County Clerk Jenny Garner and Fannin County Auditor Alicia Whipple are both avid quilters and estimate that as many as 80 quilts may be on display in the courthouse during Quilt Hop. Whipple has made 19 quilts and Garner has put together 10 quilts.

Quilt Hop workshops, lectures, demonstrations and displays will be set up at locations in Bonham and Honey Grove, including the Sam Rayburn House State Historical Site and Sam Rayburn Museum, Roy V. Floyd Community Center, Creative Arts Center, Fannin County Courthouse, Bonham Public Library, Fannin County Museum of History, Fannin County Historical Commission, Holiday Inn Express, Neighbors Place Winery, For the Quilter (Historic Brownlee House), and the Honey Grove Church of Christ.

Quilt Hop hours are 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. July 24-25, 2026. More than 300 quilts will be on display.
