Bonham, Texas -- The inaugural School Supply Crawl benefiting Fannin County Children's Center is in the books and it looks like a late-summer tradition has been born! Hosted by Credit union of Texas, more than two dozen Jeeps and 4x4's were featured. Attendees were encouraged to donate new school supplies to help children served by the Fannin County Children’s Center (CASA/CAC) prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
Fannin County Children’s Center is hoping to give away 150 backpacks filled with school supplies to help local children start the year with everything on their list.
"We had a great turnout for this being a first-time event!" exclaimed Mallory McBroom, Community Engagement Officer for Credit Union of Texas. "All in all, we had about 25 entries and received hundreds of donated items. I’m already looking forward to planning this event for next year."
The School Supply Crawl has the potential to grow into a much larger event because Jeep owners and 4x4 enthusiasts are extremely proud of their vehicles; this is a chance to show off their machines while also bringing in school supplies to benefit Fannin County Children's Center.
