Bonham, Texas – The United States will soon be celebrating its 250th Anniversary. As part of that celebration, a group of eight women came together at the Creative Arts Center in Bonham and created a fabulous patriotic crazy quilt.

Raffle tickets for this special quilt are now on sale. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets can be purchased at the Creative Arts Center’s office at 200 W. 5th in Bonham during normal business hours. Proceeds will benefit the Creative Arts Center, a nonprofit art center serving Fannin County since 2001.

The raffle drawing will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 4 pm at the Creative Arts Center. Winner does not need to be present to win.

The quilt is approximately 53 inches wide and 64 inches tall.  The quilt has a sleeve stitched on to make it suitable for a wall hanging or it can also be used as a large lap blanket.

This collaborative crazy quilt was created by Sandy Barber, Judge Lauri Blake, Treva Gibbs, Carol Irving, Sue Melhoff, Japhnee Metellus, Valerie Pollock and Jenny Schero in 2026.

The quilt is on display at the art center and available for viewing anytime the center is open.  This quilt will also be part of the Quilt Hop and Fiber Arts Show on July 24 & 25.  The art center will be one of about a dozen stops for the annual Quilt Hop and Fiber Arts Show.
