Fannin County, Texas -- A mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow fell throughout most of the weekend, leaving area roads treacherous and forcing widespread cancellations. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing for a total of approximately 85 hours.

Bonham ISD schools will be closed Monday, January 26, Tuesday, January 27, and Wednesday, January 28.

Bonham City Hall will be closed to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026, although limited staff will be on-site to assist with essential operational needs on a limited basis. Trash service is cancelled for Monday.

Meals on Wheels Texoma will suspend operations in Cooke, Fannin and Grayson counties on Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27, due to inclement weather. Homebound clients are encouraged to use one of the additional frozen or shelf-stable meals that were delivered last week, in preparation for this weather event.

The Creative Arts Center is closed on Wednesday, January 28 due to the winter weather.

Dangerous driving conditions may extend into Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to dip into the single digits early Monday morning and finally creep up to the mid-30s late Tuesday afternoon. Roads could still be icy Wednesday morning.
