Sherman/Denison, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming frontage road closure on the northbound frontage road of US 75. The northbound frontage road, north of Jerdy Gary Avenue, is scheduled to be closed beginning at 9 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, until 5 p.m. on March 18, 2026, to facilitate the reconstruction of the frontage road.

Northbound traffic intending to go to Denison will need to turn right at FM 691 and follow this road until the intersection of SH-91, Texoma Boulevard, to Spur 503.

Northbound traffic intending to go to Loy Lake Road will need to travel north and take Exit 68 to Crawford Road, then take the northbound to southbound U-Turn at Crawford Road to cross under US 75 and travel south on the southbound frontage road to Loy Lake Road.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking or car audio, or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
