Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced upcoming nightly full closures of the southbound mainlanes of US 75, beginning at Exit 63 (Lamberth Road/Taylor Street). The closures are scheduled to begin from:

• 8 p.m. on Nov. 2, to Nov. 3, at 5 a.m.
• 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, to Nov. 4, at 5 a.m.
• 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, to Nov. 7, at 5 a.m.

These closures are an ongoing part of the re-construction of the US 75 underpass of Taylor Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured at Exit 63 onto the northbound Sam Rayburn Expressway frontage road. Motorists should continue south along the frontage road, bypassing the work area on the mainlanes, and re-enter US 75 using the next available entrance ramp.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
