Paris, Texas – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a project to replace three
bridges in Fannin and Grayson County is slated to begin April 23.

Highway 19 Construction LLC, Sulphur Springs, Texas, was granted 196 working days, weather permitting,
to complete this project valued at more than $1.5 million.

The contractor anticipates starting work on April
23, 2024. The target completion date is April 2025, officials said.

The contractor will replace these bridges and their approaches: CR 1202 at Brushy Creek and CR 4020 at
Caney Creek in Fannin County, and Southmayd Road at Elba Creek in Grayson County.

These roadways will be closed while these projects are underway. Officials asked motorists to observe all
signs and barricades, and to approach work zones cautiously at reduced speed, officials said.
Motorists who travel frequently in these areas are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic
controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should
also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
