Bonham, Texas -- For the second time this week, Fannin County is the place to be! On Monday, April 8, 2024, visitors came to experience a total solar eclipse. This Saturday, they are coming for the steaks and downtown Bonham is even busier.

Teams began setting up grills early Saturday morning for Fannin Agricultural Association's 2nd Annual Steaks on Main Ribeye Cookoff. By noon, all 1,100 tickets had been sold.

Judges have the enviable assignment of sampling steaks and compiling scores; the winner will be announced at 4:00 p.m.

Downtown Bonham will be a smoky sight to see when more than a thousand steaks hit the grills shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Even if you weren't fortunate enough to secure tickets for the steak dinner at 6:30 p.m., come enjoy an outdoor concert in one of the oldest towns in Texas, courtesy of Fannin Agricultural Association, Inc.

This year's headliner will be Cody Canada and the Departed, with opening acts Waves and Red Stone Revival.
