McKinney, Texas (March 28, 2024) – Residents and other interested parties are invited to receive an update regarding the status of the redevelopment of city-owned properties downtown at a town hall meeting from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. on April 9 in in Ruschhaupt Hall of the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee St. The event will be facilitated by representatives from M2G Ventures and will begin with an introductory presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session, then a meet and greet beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The City of McKinney is constructing the new McKinney City Hall at the northwest corner of Throckmorton and Virginia streets in Downtown McKinney. McKinney City Hall is scheduled to open in early 2025, and staff will vacate many city-owned facilities, including the Development Services building and the current City Hall. City Council selected M2G Ventures in January as the preferred development team to partner with the city to redevelop the city-owned properties in Downtown McKinney. M2G Ventures has development experience in several DFW cities, including Fort Worth, Dallas, and Plano.

“We are excited to be partnering with M2G Ventures on this important development opportunity. We are mutually focused on providing a best-in-class example of how development should occur within our charming historic downtown,” said City Manager Paul Grimes. “Our hope is that what is ultimately built on these properties will expand upon what makes Downtown McKinney so special.”
