"There are those gifted few who draw you in with just a phrase . . . Bill Nash is one of those songwriters. Whether you are a songwriter or just someone who admires songwriters, you owe it to yourself to own a copy of this wonderful music. Bill is a gifted writer, a songwriter's songwriter, who graciously pours his life into yours, leaving you just a bit richer for knowing him. I have picked with Bill, and I will never forget the experience.  Bill Nash is a treasure."
-- quote from Greg Young through CDBaby.com

Fannin County, Texas -- You are invited to Bill Nash's "CD Release Party & Concert" at Harmony House Concerts on Saturday, April 20, '24, 3:00-5:00 p.m.  Bill has just released his 4th CD, Looking out my Picture Window, a compilation of songs written while living in Colorado; Taos, NM; and now in Rockwall, TX.  Faye & Scott will be your hosts.

I (Faye) have known Bill for the last 30 years.  We both started attending the Friday night concerts at Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse in Dallas and the ACT House Concerts in Wylie, TX, about the same time.  At the beginning, I did not know Bill was a singer-songwriter himself.  I just knew I felt a camaraderie with him, since we were ‘new kids on the block’ together.  Later, when I heard him play in a Song Circle at Tom Noe & Linda Silas' home in Wylie, I was surprised at the original songs he played.  At that time, they were mostly therapeutic songs for himself, after a major break-up with a spouse.  I started to talk to him more about his music and found that he was born a musician, although he didn't start playing the guitar till his teens. (More about Bill below.)

Reservations for Bill's show are $18 per person, payable in cash or in a check made payable to Bill Nash, at the Reservation Table in Harmony House. To make reservations for this fun celebration of Bill's latest CD, call our landline, 903-583-2661.  Please leave your name, contact information (preferably an email address), and # of reservations desired.  Faye will get back to you to confirm.

Harmony House is a welcoming vintage dwelling that was reclaimed and moved to Wildscape Acres on acreage located about 10 miles north of Bonham and 65 miles NE of the metroplex.  We missed the music we had left behind, so even though our house will always be a work in progress, we decided to bring the music to you folks in NE Texas and to us.  Hence, Harmony House Concerts began about 16 years ago and continues to feature only the most outstanding artists of acoustic music, Americana, traditional folk and Irish, rock 'n roll, jazz, and blues.  When you make a reservation, please notify us whether you need directions.  For those with GPS, we will give you the physical address. If you are w/o GPS, we will email you a Word document that gives directions as if starting from Dallas on Hwy. 75 North.  To learn more about Wildscape Acres, visit www.WildscapeAcres.com and about Harmony House, visit Harmony House Concerts Group on FB.

Bill will play two 45-minute sets with a 30-minute intermission for going to the necessary room, getting to know Bill & Susan at the CD table, taking a brief walk, or grabbing another cuppa joe and visiting the snack table for all kinds of goodies.  Faye & Scott will provide bottomless cups of coffee, hot tea, cool organic juice teas, or real well water (no added chemicals), plus assorted cheeses and crackers and whatever Faye has time to create.  Guests are requested to bring a finger food to share with others on the snack tables in the dining room and master bedroom.  Yes, we use this entire ‘little house on the prairie’ for our house concerts.  If you've never attended one of our concerts, you will be greeted by friends who can show you the drill.  Seating is limited to about 40 persons in the living and dining room, so reserve one early.  If you make a reservation and find that you cannot make it, notify us by phone (landline so no texts) ASAP.  ‘No shows’ are a NO-NO!! We will keep a waiting list so we can notify another who might like a seat to hear Bill, our friend and songmaster.

More about Bill, www.billnashmusic.net:

Many of our patrons know multiple award-winning singer-songwriter Bill Nash, either from hearing him anchor the song circles following our house concerts or from his many performances around the country over the last three decades.  He's well known from the many festivals and song schools he's been part of over the years, and his cutting-edge guitar technique (which he teaches everywhere) is something to behold.

In Bill's words:

This album, titled Looking out a Picture Window, will be my 4th studio project, bringing you 12 all-new songs, written by me and my co-writing/poet girlfriend Susan Miles!  We’ve been collaborating since 2018, and I think we have become quite a good team when it comes to song writing -- she hands me her words, and I develop the right sounding music for the lyrics.  It's truly a match made in Heaven.  Susan will be attending the show, too, and you will love to meet her and get to talk with her.  She is a treat!”  [“Amen” ~ Faye]

Susan will most likely be in charge of product sales, which will include the new CD for $15; T-shirts of the new CD Cover (which includes one of Bill and Susan's cats, looking out a picture window into a garden in Taos); the latest T-shirt of Camp Nashbill at the Kerrville Folk Festival for $20 each; and some boxed sets of all 4 CDs for $25.

BTW:  Bill was diagnosed with MS over 35 years ago.  His positivity and creativity have not allowed this to slow him down mentally or emotionally.  He has led groups of MS patients in the Dallas MS Society -- to help them learn how to cope and keep on truckin'.  Bill believes in people and their potential to change attitudes and lives through music and other talents, perhaps undiscovered before diagnosis.  He is truly an inspiration to all.

"Imaginative songwriting and polished guitar ability, writes story songs (ala Harry Chapin), with a lyric/poetic emphasis on the struggles / tribulations / jubilations of life on earth." ~ Linda Silas
