This is official notice that there will be a Public Hearing at 5:00 pm, Monday, September 16, 2024, in the Municipal Ballroom, 405 N. Rusk St. Sherman, Texas, for the following Ordinances. The Meeting at which these Ordinances are to be considered is open to the public as required by law.

 

ORDINANCE NO. 6765

(Tabled at the August 19, 2024 Meeting)

Amending Sherman's Zoning Ordinance/Code of Ordinances Chapter 14, and Granting a Specific Use Permit to Allow an Electric Power Substation or Generating Including Ground-Mounted Solar and Wind in an R-6 (Single Family Residential) District, Located at 1512 Interurban Parkway, Consisting of 45.107 Acres Being a Part of the Elizabeth Jones Survey, Abstract 628, City of Sherman, Grayson County, Texas Cedar Ridge Development (Owner), Holley Energy Solutions, LLC (Representative) and Underwood Drafting & Surveying, Inc. (Surveyor) Prescribing Conditions to the Specific Use Permit; Providing a Penalty not to Exceed $2,000.00; Providing A Repealing/Savings Clause, Severability Clause And An Effective Date

 

ORDINANCE NO. 6773

Recognizing the Termination of Sherman Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone Number Three (TIRZ #3) by Operation of Law; Dissolving the Board of Directors and Tax Increment Fund for TIRZ #3; Directing that any Money Remaining in the TIRZ #3 Fund be Paid to the City of Sherman

 

ORDINANCE NO. 6774

Repealing Ordinance No. 6354 and Amending Sherman’s Zoning Ordinance/Code of Ordinances Chapter 14, to Rezone a Tract of Land, Consisting of 438.99 Acres in the John Jennings Survey, Abstract No. 647, and the Uriah Burns Survey, Abstract No. 121, City of Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, Located  in the 3500-4500 Blocks of North F.M. 1417 (Heritage Parkway) and the 600-1900 Blocks of West U.S. Highway 82, Heretofore Zoned Planned Development (PD) District; Providing that the Tract is Rezoned and Placed in the Planned Development (PD) Zoning Classification with Modified Development Standards; Describing the Tract to be Rezoned; Providing for a Penalty not to Exceed $2,000.00; Providing a Repealing/Savings Clause, Severability Clause and an Effective Date

 

I, Linda Ashby, City Clerk of the City of Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing are true and correct copies of the caption of Ordinance Nos. 6765, 6773, and 6774 which will be submitted to the Sherman City Council at the Regular Meeting of September 16, 2024, for introduction, public hearing and adoption.
