Bonham, Texas -- The Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the implementation of "Leadership Fannin" a community-based leadership program designed to improve the understanding of social, economic, and political forces that impact the community at large. The goal of a successful leadership program is to educate participants through monthly sessions and activities that will develop their self-awareness and discover their leadership potential within community organizations, as well as within their workforce.

The Chamber is now accepting applications for the first Leadership Fannin Class of 2025. We will be accepting 20 applicants for the 2024/25 class.  A meet and greet at Neighbors Place Winery on September 19 will kick-off a nine-month curriculum that includes a team building retreat, a community service project, and educational field trip sessions in the areas of history, personal development & self-care, economic & workforce development, city/county/state government, social services, education, and healthcare. Participants will  be honored  in May with a graduation luncheon.

Employers are encouraged to consider sponsoring a candidate for Leadership Fannin as part of their career development and their future involvement as a leader within the community at large.

Completed applications are due on or before August 15, 2024. Tuition for Leadership Fannin is $700 for Chamber members and $875 for future members which includes a 12-month membership as a Business Partner.

Tuition can be financed by the individual, their employer, or a sponsoring organization. Payment is due in full before the first session.
