A message from the City of Bonham, Bonham Police Department and Bonham Animal Control

Bonham, Texas -- The City recently made changes to our shelter operations to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, citizens and animals. We have been working to develop procedures that ensure the timely and efficient delivery of information related to adoptable animals. Our goal is to elevate awareness and nurture a community rooted in the shared mission of safeguarding our animal companions. Our hearts lie in helping to ensure that pets are reunited with owners and that as many animals as possible are restored to good health and adopted. We could not do this without our amazing team of animal control professionals and volunteers. Our goal is to build a network of people and organizations that work together to save abused, neglected, and homeless animals.

The City of Bonham has established an official City of Bonham Animal Shelter Facebook page. We encourage you to like, share and follow this page. We maintain a list of rescue organizations and actively work to place our animals with a qualified group. We are also working to build our volunteer base and hope that anyone with a heart for helping animals will apply.

The shelter is open to the public every day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. These hours provide time for our staff to maintain facilities, provide animal care and update our database of adoptable animals. If you would like to visit the shelter outside of these hours, we invite you to call our office and schedule a time to meet your new furever friend.
