Sherman, Texas -- Austin College has earned awards for three entries submitted to the 2023 Collegiate Advertising Awards competition.
The Collegiate Advertising Awards program is an elite national program created to honor today’s most talented marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing, and promotion specific to higher education products and services. Institutions are grouped with others of similar size for the competition.
Proving that it isn’t just students who excel at Austin College, the Institutional Marketing and Communications Department earned gold awards for its 175th Year Milestone branding package and for the video “Beyond the Classroom at Austin College.” The College also won silver for the 2023 issue of Austin College Magazine, an annual publication sent to alumni, students, and friends of the College.
Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Heidi Rushing said, “The 175th year of Austin College was a unique opportunity for us to create a special set of designs, and we have really enjoyed using them all year in our publications. To receive a gold from the Collegiate Advertising Awards is a cherry on top. Similarly, the “Beyond the Classroom” video and the Magazine represent months of dedicated work on the part of our team. I am so proud of the staff in my department and all of the excellent work they have done this year, and it is nice to have a little external validation that they are indeed at the top of the game.”
