CASA is one of several programs offered by the Fannin County Children’s Center for the benefit of abused and neglected children. CASA is seeking adult volunteers who can complete training and pass background checks to be appointed by the 336th District Court to serve as a Guardian ad Litem for children in foster care.
The CAC, Children’s Advocacy Center, is another program of the Children’s Center. Compassionate CAC volunteers are needed to assist in many different ways such as supervising children and families at the center, organize clothing and supplies donated and stocked in our Rainbow Room, become part of the Handy Helpers team to assist in small maintenance tasks needed around the office and outside the building, or the Hospitality Team to assist in making small or large meals for the meetings and trainings we provide at our building.
There will be an informational meeting via zoom on Monday, February 12 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. You will learn about all the ways to volunteer, how to apply, and have a chance to ask questions. Attending this session is NOT required but can be helpful. Also, attending does NOT obligate you to becoming a volunteer. Feel free to call us if you have any questions beforehand at 903-583-4339 or email info@fanninccc.org.
