Fannin County Emergency Management recruiting volunteers

Fannin County, Texas -- Fannin County Emergency Management is recruiting for volunteers in two different programs: Search and Rescue Task Force - requires copious amounts of training. Physically demanding and attention to detail is required. This Task Force is a component of the Child Abduction Response Team (CART).

Emergency Management Auxiliary (CERT) - originally designated as Community Emergency Response Team, reorganized as Emergency Management Auxiliary.

All volunteers will complete the basic CERT training course and will continue with more than 40 hrs of educational courses in incident command, planning, disaster response, operational response, fire rehab, large incident management, and more.

All applicants will complete a robust application, interview, and background process.
