Combining Fire Prevention Week with
celebrating the legendary Fire Safety Klownz
McTown Klownz 30th Birthday and Fire Safety Day is slated for Saturday, October 7 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the John and Judy Gay Library, 6861 Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070.
Activities include:
Ret. Firefighter Brent Rollins founded the group in 1993 and coined the phrase ‘Edu-tainment’ (education mixed with entertainment) to describe the performances they bring to the schools.
“The McTown Klownz have served our city proudly for 30 years and this is our chance to honor them for their hard work. They have taught tens of thousands of children how to stay safe and they have no plans on slowing down,” said McKinney Fire Chief Paul Dow.
