Honey Grove, Texas -- The Honey Grove Library & Learning Center will be open during Honey Grove’s annual Davy Crockett Day festival in downtown Honey Grove on October 7. In addition to our normal operations, the library will have a variety of activities available for those of all ages!
Visit our Book Station, just behind the library, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to browse through our many adult and children’s books that will be available for purchase by donation.
Teenagers may visit our Teen/Tech Room upstairs, between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00p.m., to learn about the various gaming hours and technology resources available to middle school and high school aged youth.
Both library patrons and festival visitors are invited to visit the Crockett Exhibit Room between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to view our current State Fair exhibit! This exhibit features photographer Arthur Grace's photographic odyssey through fairs in ten states, as well as fun memorabilia and award-winning entries from our own State Fair of Texas! This exhibition is produced by the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History, The University of Texas at Austin, and presented in partnership with Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of
the National Endowment for the Humanities.
