We are making progress ridding Shilo of poisonous vines and thorny plants. Even though our spring work days were canceled due to rain, we had great success in July renting goats to clear the resulting lush vegetation. For this coming Saturday, there are a few fallen tree branches to be cut up and removed, and if there’s time, work could start on cleaning gravestones. Gloves, hats, pants, long-sleeved tops and sturdy shoes are still advised.

There will be yellow signs pointing the entrance at CR-3015 and the off-road route from there to the cemetery. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. -- feel free to stay as long or as little as you like. Hope you can join us! For questions email 1texjones@gmail.com
