Jack Phillips Memorial Bluebird Festival in Ravenna June 17

Ravenna, Texas -- Downtown Ravenna, Texas will be the setting for the annual Jack Phillips Memorial Bluebird Festival coming up Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

This free, family-friendly festival celebrates the annual arrival of eastern bluebirds. You can even learn how to build your own birdhouses for eastern bluebirds.

Festival organizers are planning for vendors, a photo contest, live music, a chuck wagon demonstration, Cornhole contest, a farmers market, juggling demonstrations and even free juggling lessons!

This festival is named in honor of the late Jack Phillips, a former resident of Randolph who treasured eastern bluebirds and build more than 1,200 bluebird houses during one 12-year span.

"Each time I see a bluebird, I like to think that is one of my kids," Mr. Phillips wrote in a 2009 article for North Texas e-News.

The festival will be set up at 103 N. Main Street, Ravenna, TX 75476.
