History of Lake Randell – 1909 to Present Day
The Grayson County Historical Society guest speaker for June 13, 2023 is one of our young Grayson County natives, Angus Evans, of the Randell Lake Water Plant.
Mr. Evans is a Denison native. Born in 1982, he grew up outside of the city limits about five miles east of town. He graduated high school in 2000 and furthered his education at Austin College in Sherman, TX earning a B. A. Degree in Chemistry with a minor in physics.
Angus attended graduate school at Texas A&M at Commerce where he earned a Master's in Chemistry.
After his graduate studies, he worked for 4 years in the Dallas area at the Environmental Testing Laboratory, later, the City of Denison hired Angus in 2010 as the Technical Services Supervisor at the Randell Water Plant. And in 2017 he was promoted to Water Treatment Superintendent. He is now working on his 14th year at the City of Denison.

Our meeting is June 13-2023 at 6:30 P.M. with the door opening at 6:15, in the front building (Frontier Village) at Loy Lake Park.
