Highland Village, Texas -- The Shops at Highland Village, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is hosting the eighth annual Highland Village Art Festival in partnership with the City of Highland Village. The festival is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the city once again to host the Highland Village Art Festival for our community,” said Ginny Tirey, marketing manager at The Shops at Highland Village. “We look forward to welcoming a myriad of artists to the center and giving them a platform to put their creative skill and talent on display.” 

A beloved community event, the festival will feature displays, including exhibits, demonstrations and more, from over 45 outstanding artists. Guests and their children can also participate in various activities including interacting with stilt walkers, watching a chalk artist at work and getting their face painted.

In addition to enjoying artwork on display, the Whitney James Quartet will grace the stage from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to perform a special jazz concert for guests to enjoy. The musical performance will be held in the south courtyard next to Chico's.  

This year’s festival will benefit Kids Kastle, a beloved wooden playground near the pond in Unity Park that originally opened in 1994. It was rebuilt and redesigned by the Highland Village community in 2019 and continues to be well enjoyed by children and families today.
