Denison, Texas -- Grayson, Fannin and Lamar counties will be hosting Food Preservation workshops, May 9 and May 10 at the Culinary Arts center, Grayson College, Denison.
On May 9, we will cover the safety and the basics of Water Bath Canning. This is a hands-on program and participants will be making jam in the morning and salsa in the afternoon.
On May 10, we will cover the basics of Pressure Canning and will be canning vegetables and will discuss dehydrating.
Dr. Jenna Anding, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Professor and Extension Specialist, will lead both days.
