Bonham, Texas -- Bonham Heritage Day Festival in historic downtown Bonham on Saturday, May 6, 2023 will include a performance by the globe-trotting ambassadors of reggae, Watusi.
Fresh off tours in Costa Rica and Ecuador, Watusi is bringing their unique blend of calypso, salsa, Afro-beat and reggae to Bonham.

For almost 40 years, Watusi has been one of the most entertaining party bands around and reggae comes with a message of freedom, justice and equality; when you put all that together with an infectious beat, it is a crowd pleaser.

Led by frontman Jimi "Watusi" Towry, a 1976 graduate of Bonham High School, this band always puts on a show that is a concert, a reunion and a reggae cleansing, all rolled into one night of family fun and spirited conga lines.

"Been around the world and sooooo good to come back home!" Towry says of bringing a four-man band to perform in his hometown for this special occasion.
