Bonham, Texas -- Right now, it may just look like a large hole on the west side of Hwy. 121 North, but soon enough they will be selling a whole lot of coffee right here at the newest Starbucks location in North Texas.

Future location of Starbucks

Starbucks will be located in front of the new Fix & Feed building under construction on Hwy 121 North in Bonham and will likely serve as a catalyst to spur more development because of the heavy volume of traffic this popular franchise will attract. The developer and city staff have designed the most expeditious flow of traffic possible.

And just up the road, another vacant lot won't be vacant long.

Another franchise coming to Bonham that is certain to draw a crowd is Whataburger, which will be located in the vacant lot on the north side of Wal-Mart. Construction is expected to begin in April. This parcel of land has two or three additional plots with frontage on Hwy. 121 North and the decision by Whataburger to build here will make this location even more attractive for franchises looking for trending demographics.

With the newest large lake in Texas filling up southeast of Bonham, negotiations regarding the 617-acre master-planned community east of Bonham on US 82 are in their final stages.

An even larger mixed-use development is in the works west of Bonham.

In addition, developers are fine-tuning plans for the southeast corner of US 82 and Hwy. 121 North. The large blue pipes being installed on the east side of Hwy. 121 North and the south side of the US 82 frontage road are water lines to this highly visible and promising location. A convenience store has been penciled in for the hard corner and storage units are being considered for the southern part of the property, but the remainder of the development is currently under design.

The 77 acres on the west side of the new Fix & Feed building will be another mixed-use layout as density drives development.

West Russell Avenue will eventually extend west to connect with FM 87 and that thoroughfare will open up more prime real estate.
