"While highways and city streets are mostly clear and safe to travel, I must also consider our students and staff who live in rural areas and must drive less traveled roads that haven’t had the opportunity to clear.  When driving around today, my staff and I found many roads still not safe for our young drivers or buses to navigate.  In addition, with the temperatures dropping below freezing again tonight, I do not foresee road conditions improving before noon in some areas.

"Therefore, Bonham ISD will remain closed on Friday, February 3, 2023.  I believe this is the safest course of action for each of our Warriors.

"All after-school activities scheduled for Friday will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and notifications regarding those will be conveyed to the participants.

"I can’t wait to see each of you on Monday!
