Bonham, Texas -- Ricky Lynn McAdams, Sr., 65, of Bailey, TX was born on November 26, 1957, to John Henry McAdams and Dovie Pearlee (McMahan) McAdams. He was the youngest of 10 children. He passed away on December 25, 2022 in Bailey, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Altoga Cemetery in Altoga, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Wright, Marcus Wood, William Smith, Kevin Smith, Brent McAdams, Mike Wood, Cody Case, and Larry Melbye.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX.

Ricky was a First Line Supervisor of the Water Department for the City of Mckinney, Texas for 17 years before retirement. He held a Double B license in Water & Waste-Water Management. Ricky also was a Firefighter/EMT for the Princeton Fire Department for many years. Ricky enjoyed spending time with his children and his grandchildren, as well as getting together with his family.

Ricky is survived by his son, Ricky McAdams Jr., and wife Amanda, his son, Kevin Smith, and his son Mike Wood, and wife Kisha, his grandchildren, Olivia McAdams, Colby McAdams, Gracie McAdams, Rebekah McAdams, Paisley McAdams, William McAdams, Joshua McAdams, and Josephine Spencer.

He is preceded in death by his wife and lifelong friend, Angie, his son, Daniel Craig McAdams, his infant son, Craig McAdams, his parents John Henry and Dovie McAdams, and his nine older siblings.
