Bonham, Texas -- Families filled historic downtown Bonham Friday night in anticipation of getting a glimpse of Jolly ol' Saint Nicholas as the annual Bonham Christmas Parade slowly made its way around the towering 1888 Fannin County Courthouse.
The evening began in a flash at 6:00 p.m. with the annual Chi Lambda Tree Lighting.
To set the mood for the parade, Sam Lumpkins, Interim Director of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, led the crowd in a rousing rendition of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town."
Parade participants waved to friends and family as the large-scale parade with floats, local school squads, classic vehicles and horses circled downtown Bonham.
