Barbara married Howard Johnson Whited on July 10, 1982 in Bonham, Texas. They were happily married for 40 years. Barbara was a mail carrier for the Bonham Post Office and retired after 32 years. She had a love for all animals, but she loved her horses and riding the most. Barbara was tough and had grit; she could outwork most men when working cattle. Barbara also loved to hike and took trips to New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming; hiking mountains at every stop. She had a love for the outdoors and feeding the wildlife at their home.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Whited of the home; stepdaughters, Sheila Roberts, Jamie Brawner and husband Darrin; brothers, Tommy Howard and wife Kay, and Clinton Howard; four step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Howard J. Whited, mother-in-law Dorothy I. Whited, and son-in-law Billy Don Roberts.

Barbara will be missed until we meet again in our heavenly home.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Bonham, Texas. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Elwood Cemetery.

Bro. Ronnie Ball will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Reed, Steve Reed, Darrin Brawner, Derrick Brawner, Coby Brawner, and Ray Gibbs.
