Fannin County Commissioners Court votes to renew lease agreement with Bonham Associates Management, Ltd.

Fannin County, Texas -- Fannin County Judge Randy Moore presided over a regular meeting of Fannin County Commissioners Court held Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Commissioners Edwina Lane, A.J. Self and Jerry Magness were present; Dean Lackey was absent.

The meeting opened with an invocation by Allan Lay, minister of Northside Church of Christ in Bonham, and pledges were led by Pct. 1 Commissioner Edwina Lane.

Bonham Fire Chief Scott Ridling presented the EMS report for September 2022.

EMS responded to a total of 4,768 calls last budget year, which averages out to 13-14 calls per day.

Chief Ridling said EMS has been even busier lately and he expects that trend to continue during the holidays.

The department currently has two openings.

"We hope to have those filled next week," Ridling stated.

After rains drenched North Texas recently, the court decided that a burn ban would not be necessary at the present time.

The court will consider this subject on a weekly basis.

Fannin County Commissioners Court approved payment of bills.

Fannin County Commissioners Court approved the Treasurer’s Financial Report for September 2022, as well as the Treasurer’s Investment Report for September 2022.

Fannin County Commissioners Court approved the partial closure of CR 2415 in Honey Grove and making it into a private road; partial closure to begin at the north end of CR 2415 (dead end) and heading south for .78 miles (approximately 4,120 feet).

Fannin County Commissioners Court passed on an agenda item regarding the removal of ‘RV Park’ terminology from the Manufactured Home Rental Community Standards.

Fannin County Commissioners Court voted to allow Precinct 3 to bid online at Auctioneer Express on a new Holland TS 115A 4x4 Tractor from Titus County; brush cutter mower mounted, diesel, 4,207 hours, up to $70,000.00 max bid.

Fannin County Commissioners Court voted to solicit proposals for a 2005-2015 used dump truck for Precinct 3.

Fannin County Commissioners Court voted to renew the lease agreement with Bonham Associates Management, Ltd. for the 800 E. 2nd Street property in Bonham from October 1, 2022 thru September 30, 2024 at a rate of $3,500.00/month for the first year, $3,700.00/month for the second year, electricity costs at $1,000.00/month plus gas and water utilities.

Fannin County Commissioners Court voted to approve Resolution authorizing the 2023 County Grant Program for Tri-County Senior Nutrition Project (dba Meals on Wheels).

Fannin County Commissioners Court voted to reappoint Sharee Owens as Director #2 and Patricia McBean as Director #4 for three-year terms on the Fannin County Hospital Authority Board.
