McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney North Lady Bulldogs overpowered the Red Oak Lady Hawks in a three-set victory Tuesday night.

The Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 20 in Class 5A, posted runaway wins of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-13 for the sweep.

Natalie Hughes led the McKinney North attack with 17 kills.

Lily Nicholson and Brooke Butler both put down eight kills.

Ayanna Moore contributed a pair of kills, with Kayli Henderson, Mileah Evans and Kaitlyn Jefferson all collecting one kill apiece.

Maya Rhamy and Nicholson each slipped four aces through the Red Oak defense. Tinley Merder had two aces.

Merder came up with a team-high 12 digs.

McKinney North will put its 11-0 district record on the line Friday when the Lady Bulldogs pay a visit to No. 4 Lucas Lovejoy.
