Honey Grove, Texas -- Quilts from the congregation of the McKenzie United Methodist Church will be on display in the historic church sanctuary during the Quilt Hop, July 29-30 (9:00 a.m .– 4:00 p.m. both days).

Hosted by the United Methodist Women of McKenzie, we expect around 50 family quilts to be on display. The photo below shows just a few of the quilts.

The church building in its present form was completed in 1911.

It has many beautiful stained glass windows and a marvelous restored organ.

The sanctuary will be beautiful with many colorful quilts displayed on the pews.
In addition, the Honey Grove Library and Learning Center has a very interesting exhibit on the art of crochet. The exhibit, featuring about 20 panels and crochet pieces from the community, can be visited when the Library is open (Friday – 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm).

When you visit Honey Grove during the Quilt Hop, you can also see the mural on the side of the Honey Grove Library at the Square.
