Trenton, Texas -- With two-a-day workouts only three weeks away, several Trenton Lady Tigers recently participated in a mid-summer basic drills camp directed by Austin College head coach Ed Garza.

The Lady Tigers will be looking to return to the playoffs in 2022 after ending a six-year run of post-season action last year. Lisa Davis will take the reins as head volleyball coach at Trenton after a successful stint at Leonard where she quickly built a winning program and guided the team into the playoffs 5-of-6 years.
"Leonard will always have a special place in my heart," Coach Davis says. "I love the students and staff at Leonard. There is a renewed energy when starting a new adventure. I love the work of program building and the challenges that go with it."
As Coach Davis observes Coach Garza conduct drills, she watches a hard-working team that is very athletic and eager to learn and improve.
"We will be emphasizing volleyball knowledge and team bonding during two-a-days," Coach Davis remarks.
Trenton will open the season with scrimmages at Leonard and Pottsboro on August 5 and August 6, respectively, before hosting Ector for the final scrimmage August 8.
Trenton will compete in District 11-2A, along with Sam Rayburn, Whitewright and Wolfe City.
