Fannin County, Texas -- A quilt group called Fannin County Piecemakers works to complete a donation project each year.  In the past, Fannin County Piecemakers has donated quilts to the Fannin County Children’s Center, made adult bibs for Seven Oaks, and made placemats for Meals on Wheels to name some of our projects.

This year Fannin County Piecemakers made two quilts for donation to a project sponsored by Day 1 Bags.  Day 1 Bags is an organization formed to provide duffle bags and backpacks of supplies for foster children when they are moved into foster care or moved from one home to another. 

This year there are over 600 graduating seniors in Texas who are in foster care/or aging out. There is a statewide project by quilters to provide a handmade quilt and pillowcase to each graduate.
