Dodd City, Texas -- The streaking Dodd City Hornets moved to 7-0 on the season and 6-0 in District 12-AA by overpowering Honey Grove, 14-4, in five innings.

Logan Lackey scattered four hits in five innings of work to pick up the win and went 2-for-3 at the plate to aid his own cause.

Mason Rodriguez drove in three runs and scored twice after going 2-for-3.

Ashton Balvin and Ethan Barnard both had a pair of hits.

The Hornets will close out the first round of district competition by traveling to Ivanhoe to take on Sam Rayburn next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
