Call for art & exhibit-opening celebration

Bonham, Texas -- As the Creative Arts Center prepares to celebrate our youth for April’s Budding Artists Exhibit and Contest, we are sending out a “Call for Art”! The CAC would like to extend an invitation to all community artists, new and existing, for art submissions created by our youth.

All artists are welcome to participate with any style or medium, and the contest will be divided by age group for judging; Kids age 5-8, 9-12, and teens age 13-18. Exhibit and contest entry fees will be waived for the month. All submissions must be wired appropriately to hang. Art submissions are due by Tuesday, April 5 and should be picked up during the first week in May. The CAC is a place for families and all artwork must meet our community guidelines. Please refrain from submissions containing graphic images or nudity.

The celebratory show opening will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and all members of our community are invited! Entry to the exhibit opening is a minimum suggested donation of $5 per person. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and prizes will be awarded to our artists during the event.
