River Walk Chapel and Hall to host 'Love on the Rocks' Valentine's weekend event
Special event to include live music, light bites, sweet treats – even walk-up weddings
Flower Mound, Texas -- River Walk Chapel and Hall in Flower Mound’s 158-acre mixed-use project, River Walk at Central Park, will be home to a Valentine’s-themed party on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 12. "Love on the Rocks" will feature live music by Penny and the Flamethrowers, a fun photo booth, complimentary champagne, light bites and sweet treats and even walk-up weddings.
Penny and the Flamethrowers is fronted by Penny Ruffles, an established pin-up model and rockabilly singer. The band plays classic rockabilly tunes with a modern twist – everything from Johnny and June Carter Cash to The Toadies. Penny and the Flamethrowers go on at 8:00 p.m.
Walk-up weddings will be performed by an officiant in the chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Guests will need to bring their marriage license for the officiant to sign. The chapel offers a beautiful setting for a wedding, with an elevated circular altar, enlarged arched windows and a second floor with two Juliet balconies overlooking the ceremony below.
Complimentary champagne, light bites and sweet treats will be provided by Refined Hospitality Concepts, which manages River Walk Chapel and Hall as well as restaurants including Primo’s MX Kitchen & Lounge, Sfereco, Scout and a plethora of others. A cash bar will be available.
