Fannin County, Texas -- It is our pleasure to introduce YOU to Nicholas Edward Williams, multi-instrumentalist and singer who has done a ‘deep dive’ into the musical heritage of America. This will be Williams' first gig with Harmony House, and YOU are invited to be in the crowd on Sunday, February 6, 2022, 4:00-6:00 p.m. to enjoy his songwriting skills, along with his renditions of some of the ‘greats’. (More about Williams below)

“As always, it’s Williams’ gentle laid back soothing vocals that win you over.”

Make reservations by calling 903-583-2661, leaving your name, # of reservations needed, and your contact info (preferably, an email address). The suggested donation is $20 per person, payable at the door—in cash or check made payable to Nicholas Edward Williams. (All proceeds go to the performing artist, since it is not the goal of Harmony House to make a profit.) Our goals are to bring quality music to a community of North Texans (as well as folks from other states) and to provide a quality venue where these outstanding musicians can be heard. If you wish to make an optional $1 cash donation to help us defray our snack expenses, there will be a plate on the breakfast room table for doing so.
Williams will play two 45-minute sets with a 30-minute intermission for munching on goodies, necessity breaks, grabbing another cuppa java—as well as purchasing CDs! Whether you are a familiar regular here at Harmony House or a first-time guest, you will be welcomed with warmth and appreciation. Due to COVID and its variants, we want to take all necessary precautions to ensure your health. Therefore, we are taking fewer reservations than in pre-pandemic days so we can space guests farther apart, and we are requiring mask wearing during the concert itself. Weather permitting, you can even take a stroll outdoors or feed our goats. Should new CDC recommendations be made, we will adjust our procedures for keeping the music live and you healthy.
Harmony House is in a relocated, reclaimed vintage home on Wildscape Acres, 160 acres devoted to Wildlife Management and Conservation, www.WildscapeAcres.com. We call it our "little house on the prairie." It is located 10 miles north of Bonham, TX, and about 65 miles NE of the Dallas metroplex. If you need directions, please indicate this when making reservations. We, Faye & Scott, are your hosts and have been providing this venue for over 15 years now (excluding most of 2020 and 2021 for obvious reasons). We also provide the best ‘bottomless’ cups of coffee, teas/punches, and a variety of cheese and crackers (plus anything else Faye decides to make).
Here's what we ask of you: 1) If you make a reservation, please ‘show up’ or cancel in a timely manner. No-shows are a no-no. 2) Bring a finger food snack to share with others on the tables provided throughout the house. 3) Kick back and enjoy the show. If you know a song, join in (unless the performer requests otherwise).

Here’s the “American Songcatcher” podcast information:
Tagline: Tracing the roots of American music from it's cultured past to today's artists playing it forward. Here’s to the songs of old, may they live on forever.
Description: Each episode is an audio documentary, with soundscapes to fit each time and place throughout the storyline. There are five in-depth segments: starting with the long journey behind a traditional song still performed today, followed by four artists, on a timeline of when they were born and came to prominence up to someone alive today. These segments are often made up of a variety of genres in the American roots spectrum, and each artist has either pioneered or carried the torch forward. Each segment ends with my personal rendition of the song or a song preserved by the artist, showcasing the longevity of the melodies as folk singers have done for hundreds of years. From European immigrants who brought their cultures into the Appalachian mountains, to songs of the South: Gospel, Ragtime, Blues, Country, and the Folk music derived from it all. We take a look behind the curtain of legends like Woody Guthrie, Son House, Hank Williams, Lead Belly, Doc Watson and Nina Simone, and shine the limelight on many integral lesser-known artists who have influenced generations, such as Bessie Smith, Ola Belle Reed, Blind Blake, Odetta, Big Bill Broonzy and Dave Van Ronk.
