Creative Arts Center to host chili cook-off contest, open mic night and sing-a-long Jan. 14

Bonham, Texas -- Want to sample some of the best local chili to warm up just before the cold front hits? The staff at Creative Arts Center in Bonham is putting the cornbread in the oven right now and at least five chili chefs will be bringing batches of their favorite chili to savor Friday night for only $2 per batch.

Creative Arts Center starts 2022 off with their first chili cook-off contest. The contest will kick off January 14th’s open mic night and sing-a-long at 6:00 p.m.! The community is invited to attend and compete! A cash prize up for grabs for first place! There is no cost for Creative Arts Center members to enter the contest. Contest entry fee for public is $25.

"We are going to use a ticket voting procedure to determine the winner," explains  art center staff. "Tickets will be sold to attendees/judges at the door or in advance. The Chili Master with the most tickets at the end of the night wins!"
