Lewis married Connie Lou (Smith) Barber on June 26, 1976 in Elkins, AR. He was a firefighter. Lewis was very community minded and loved serving his community; he would give you the shirt off his back. Lewis loved his family, and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by wife, Connie Barber of the home, son, Toby Barber of Westfork, AR; daughter, Becky Spurgin and husband Kevin of Princeton, TX; grandchildren, Jessica Lindsey and husband Jed, Haleigh Spurgin, Rylee Spurgin, Austin Barber, Angel Escamilia, Gracie Escamilia, and Adelynn Barber; great grandchildren, Cheyanne Lindsey, Micah May, and Sophia Butcher; siblings, Janet Mott, Justin Barber, Allen Barber, Dianna Burbank, Carla Firm, Margie Malonee, and Ronald Barber; along with extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Winford and Billie Barber, and grandson, Trenton Michael Spurgin.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Higher Trails Cowboy Church, 5544 FM 903 Celeste, TX 75423. Bro. Randy Bird will officiate.
