Fannin County, Texas -- Work is underway on the new Hwy. 34 bridge that will cross over Lake Ralph Hall between the cities of Ladonia and Honey Grove in Fannin County. This bridge will be unique in Fannin County because a key feature of the new bridge will include a 10-foot protected pedestrian walkway / bike path that will allow you to walk or bike across the lake from Bug Tussle on the north end to a future visitor center on the south end.

This photograph is facing north, with the existing Hwy. 34 to the right of the photo. Hwy. 34 will remain open until the bridges are complete and then the new roadway will be integrated into the existing highway. All drivers are encouraged to avoid distractions and stay alert while driving through the construction zones.
The photo shows the concrete columns being formed for the bridge’s support braces on the 1.1-mile-long bridge over Lake Ralph Hall.
The bridge is expected to be completed my mid-2023.
