McKinney, Texas -- Recently retired Colonel Aaron Barta is the owner of College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving, a franchised company and a Texas-registered, veteran-owned business.  Aaron is also a member of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce.  His company is moving the McKinney Army recruiting office to their new location on May 5 -- local hunks helping local heroes.

Barta, a 25-year veteran has a distinguished and accomplished career with the military. His unique experiences include leading rescue operations at the Pentagon following the attacks on 9/11, he is a two-time Bronze Star Medal recipient, serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and ended his career as the Commander of the USACE (Army Corp of Engineers), Los Angeles District.

Upon his retirement this past fall, he returned to his native North Dallas where he is a fourth-generation native to start his own business.

Barta has decided to use his skillset with the nationally recognized franchise of College H.U.N.K.S. - known for quality, value and white glove service. In his quest to become a community partner, he reached out to the Armed Forces Recruitment Center on University Dr. In the course of their meetings, Barta's College H.U.N.K.S. of McKinney was recently awarded the bid to actually move the Army branch to their new state of the art facility on Hardin Blvd.
