Savoy Cardinals qualify for State UIL

Savoy, Texas -- The Savoy Cardinals UIL Academic teams brought home multiple medals this past weekend from the Regional UIL competition in Waxahachie. Eight students from Savoy High School competed and three brought back four medals total.

 

 

These students have made Savoy proud with their diligence and perseverance throughout these competitions. The UIL State competition will take place virtually this year on May 1st and May 25th. Good luck to Mavrick Walker as he competes in Social Studies at Princeton High School on May 1st. Good luck to Elise Popowski as she competes in Prose Interpretation on May 25th.

 

STATE QUALIFIERS:

Prose Interpretation: Elise Popowski - 3rd Place

Social Studies: Mavrick Walker - 3rd Place

 

TOP SIX MEDALISTS:

News Writing: Brylie Leach - 5th Place

Current Events: Mavrick Walker - 6th Place

Hannah Wood- Copy Editing and Spelling
