The Board of Trustees
Bonham ISD

A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bonham ISD was held April 19, 2021, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Bonham High School cafeteria, 1002 Warpath Drive, Bonham, TX 75418.

One or more board members may attend the meeting via video conference pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127.

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice. Unless removed from the consent agenda, items identified within the consent agenda will be acted on at one time.

1. Call to Order at 6:00 p.m. by President Chance Roberts.

Members in attendance were Chance Roberts, Sean Floyd, Jason Fox, LaTonia Arris, Myles Galyon and Kelly Trompler, Superintendent. A qourum was present.

Members absent were Jeri Lea Johnson and Dawn Nichols. Dawn Nichols arrived at 6:30 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance: Led by FO Kindergarten (via video): Molly Anderson, Vanessa Andino, Byron Arredondo, Jose Castillo, Gabriel Chavez, Brayden Crutcher, Isabella Cruz, Eli Dawson, Jaxon Dorsey, Wesley Dyer, Bradyn Eaches, Jayden Earl, Mya Edwards, John Ehiabor, Ava Gibbs, Dayvani Granger, Kolsen Hall, Brooklyn Hubbard, Brynn Hudson, Jenae Lawson, Tenley Munholland, John-David Nelson, Valeria Olguin, Jonathan Padron, Riley Reeves, Levi Shores, Faith West and Aidyn Whitlock

The Texas Pledge: "Honor the Texas flag: I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible."

4. Tell Me Something Good

Jason Fox – Congratulations to the Tennis Team – he was impressed with how well all the students played and congratulations to the ones who made Regionals. He said it looks as though the District will have a lot of good players for a few years to come.

LaTonia Arris – She said it was a great job by FFA at Regionals and UIL. She has seen posts on Facebook of students graduating from Bailey Inglish that made her cry – it was very sweet. She stated that she wanted to thank Coach Dezern for his board reports that spotlights each sport separately.

Chance Roberts – He echoed the members’ previous statements. He said a student went to the Houston Livestock Show’s calf scramble and caught one – the student received a calf certificate to go back and show a calf.

5. Employee and Student Recognition (via video): Teacher of the Month: Joanne Lancaster (BI); Paraprofessional of the Month: Elvia Hernandez (BI); Student of the Month: Addison Ventura (FO); Asa Curtis (IWE); Micah Angell (LHR); Maria Garza and Tanner Reeves (BHS)

Finley-Oates School had the best attendance in March with 95.32%.
